SUMMER ARTS MARKET VENDOR INFO

COVID-19 Update:
We will continue to work with the City of Concord to ensure we follow all COVID-19 safety precautions. All vendors must agree to follow all COVID-19 protocols in order to participate in the Concord Arts Market, which will be finalized and provided to all vendors closer to the start of the summer season.

What To Expect: Outdoor selling is fun, exciting, and a great way to meet your audience face to face. It is also rain or shine, and there are NO early departures. Some days you may sell very well, some days, nothing. We want you to understand what you're signing up for when you sign up. That said, it's also a great way to network, and for many artists and artisans, a great way to sell. Our goal is to provide the highest quality event at the smallest possible cost to participants. We seek to offer a variety of quality artisan crafts and fine art that a broad audience can enjoy. That may, by default, result in limits to some categories, depending on who has applied for that season or for that date. Please take a close look at the information below, and contact us if you have any questions.

Vendor Types:
  • Artists and craftspeople of all types are welcomed to apply.
  • You must be the creator of the work you are selling.
  • No imports, no resellers, and no vintage/antiques at this time.

Community-focused groups, non-profits or educational groups: You may request booth space to promote community-focused programs and activities. Space will be offered free of charge as space allows.

Location: All markets are at Rollins Park in Concord, NH, except during Intown Concord's Market Days Festival which takes place along Main and Pleasant Streets downtown.

Dates for Summer 2021:
  • June 19
  • July 17
  • Market Days Festival: August 19-21
  • September 18
  • October 16

Times: The market runs from 10am to 3pm. Vendors may set-up after 8am. You will receive set-up instructions prior to each date that you participate. All vendors must be cleaned up and out of the park by 4pm.

Early Departure: Early departure from the market is NOT allowed.  If you have an emergency arise and need to leave early, please notify market staff immediately so that arrangements can be made.  The success of the market depends on the commitment of the participating artists.  Additionally, the liability issues created by moving vehicles and displays while the venue is open to the public create a hazard to the event.

Tables, Tents, Displays, Weights:
  • All booth spaces are 10x10'. You will have ample space around you in order to comply with social distancing guidelines.
  • You provide your own tent, table or any other displays. There will be none available to rent at the event.
  • You must also provide weights for your tent--AT LEAST 25 LBS PER TENT LEG, clearly anchored/attached to your tent by sturdy means, not resting on the feet of your tent.
  • Tents weights are critical, non-negotiable and REQUIRED. New England weather is not predictable. One gust of wind and a tent can fly—potentially causing an accident, injury or worse.  Many commercial tent makers manufacture weights specifically for this purpose. Please contact us for more information about weights if you are unsure of how to address this issue - there are many low cost ways to make it happen.
  • If you do not bring the required weights with you, with appropriate tethering, you will be asked to remedy the situation prior to the opening of the market, and you will be asked to dismantle your tent until the necessary weights arrive. If you are unable to procure them prior to the market opening time for that day, you will need to go without a tent or leave if the weather is bad. There are no refunds should this situation arise. It's just too important to make exceptions.

THE GOOD NEWS?  THERE ARE MANY INEXPENSIVE WAYS TO WEIGHT YOUR TENT. Here is a link to one of those: Making Canopy or Tent weights for trade shows or art shows.

We pride ourselves in the community spirit of the Concord Arts Market! We are always looking for vendors who are willing to be flexible and to help each other. You'll find us weathering all elements in the summer outdoor market, long hours at Market Days and the quirky space of the Eagle Square atrium during the winter markets.

Want to join our community? Apply today!

How to Apply: To apply to participate in the Concord Arts Market Summer Arts Market, complete the online application: APPLICATION FORM

Your application will be reviewed by our selection committee and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Please understand that at certain times of year we receive a HIGH volume of email and it may take a few days to get back to you. However, we don't mind you writing to check in.

Market Days Applications:
Applications to be a Concord Arts Market vendor at Intown Concord's Market Days Festival will be accepted on a rolling basis. Most notifications of acceptance will be made by May 15, 2021. Application is not a guarantee of participation. This is a popular event - first consideration will be given to past participants and regular participants of the Concord Arts Market, as well as vendors with unique products. It is a requirement that all CAM Market Days vendors participate in at least one regular arts market in Rollins Park from June-October.

Market Days booth reservation is official upon receipt of payment which is due 7 days from acceptance. The fee to attend Market Days as a Concord Arts Market vendor is $175 and includes all three days, 10am-8pm. We always have a wait list for Market Days; if payment is not made in time, we will assume you are not coming this year. The booth fee is non-refundable. Market Days is a rain or shine event. Early departures are not allowed. You must attend all three days, unless previous exceptional arrangements are made.

Concord Arts Market Selection Committee:
All of our selection committee members are creators themselves, who truly appreciate the work that goes into each creation shared with them. The jury reserves the right to update participating vendors at its discretion to keep the mix of goods both balanced and diverse.

2021 Summer/Fall Arts Market in Rollins Park Booth Fees:
  • Booths fee for our regular arts market in Rollins Park (not including Intown Concord's Market Days Festival in August) are:

  • Once you have been notified of acceptance and your dates have been confirmed, payment must be received within 7 days to reserve your date(s). Your date(s) ARE NOT RESERVED until your payment has been received.
  • Up to two accepted vendors may share a space and split the booth fee.
  • Booth fees are nonrefundable. However, if you need to cancel a date, we will work with you to reschedule for another date (if possible), as long as you cancel prior to seven days before your scheduled market.
  • You have three options for payment: Check, PayPal or credit card. You will receive payment instructions upon acceptance.
Cancellations/Weather Policy:
We are a rain or shine event. The success of the market is dependent on the commitment of participating artists to the event and to fellow artists. There are no refunds given for no-shows. However, in the event of potentially dangerous weather conditions in the forecast, please check the market website or FB page after 6:30am to confirm whether the market will proceed on that day. We take safety very seriously.  We will not issue refunds on such dates - alas, we cannot control the weather - but we are happy to offer a credit for a future market date (if possible).
